What a Journey! – 2018 Storyland Gala Recap
The 69th CHA Storyland Gala took place on October 27th at the Saint Paul RiverCentre and all those in attendance were treated to to wonderful night while supporting a great cause!
From the unique Green Carpet and VIP Tasting Experience with Sommelier Leslee Miller, to the always popular Liquor Library and incredible strolling meal, guests enjoyed a very memorable night and gave generously towards a great cause. Co-emcees Graham Annable and The Dude, brought laughter and passion to the evening and worked side-by-side with Honorary Gala Chair Vineeta Sawkar to provide a stellar program portion of the evening. 14-year-old auctioneer Cash Owens and his family provided a special surprise leading the live auction to new heights! Graham even utilized his amazing skills to create some truly magical sketches to send home with the three wonderful kids who joined The Dude on stage for a fun Q&A!
This year the CHA Legacy Fund was introduced as the Fund-A-Need for the evening. This is a board-designated fund created to support the programs and services at Children’s Minnesota, many of which are encompassed in the Child and Family Services Circle of Care. With the help of a very generous $25,000 matching gift by Hubbard Broadcasting Foundation and the 450 plus registered Gala guests, we were able to surpass our goal set for the Legacy Fund and raise more than $84,000! Thanks goes out to our many wonderful sponsors, guests and volunteers who helped to make this portion of our journey such a great success. We look forward to seeing what the next chapter of CHA’s premier event might hold on October 26, 2019!
