CHA Making a Difference Award – Karen and Jim Clapper
This year CHA has three incredible Making a Difference Award Winners who we will be celebrating at the Annual Meeting. This year’s winners include Karen and Jim Clapper, Sears Imported Autos and the North Oaks Golf Club. These wonderful supporters have made a lasting impact with CHA, helping to CHAnge kids’ lives!
For Jim and Karen Clapper, it all started with Karen’s knowledge of the organization dating back to the ’80s and ’90s when she worked in the Diabetes Clinic at Children’s Minnesota. The Clappers moved overseas for five years, but when they returned in 2003, a friend asked Karen to join the CHA Board and they have been dedicated supporters and volunteers ever since! Karen, volunteering her time on the Board, with the Lunch Bunch Guild and at events and Jim utilizing his woodworking and computer skills, forming an incredible duo giving back to CHA and the hospital.
“Hearing stories about the children and families touched by programs CHA supports makes the organization special to us,” says Jim and Karen. “It really is about the kids! Volunteering your time and working together with friends in a guild or on the CHA Board to raise funds not only changes the lives of children and their families, but YOU also are changed.”
Join us on January 26th at Midland Country Club to celebrate the Clappers, as well as our other amazing award winners who truly are “Making a Difference” in their community!
