Anchor – KSTP-TV

Jackie Cain anchors the evening newscasts at 5 Eyewitness News where you can catch her weeknights at 6 & 10 pm. Cain joined 5 Eyewitness News in October from WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, PA where she was an anchor and reporter. She lives in St. Paul with her husband Alex and Wheaten Terrier, Ollie.

Cain’s reporting has taken her into the depths of West Virginia coal mines and 26,000 feet into the air with the Ohio National Guard. Her most memorable story was her coverage of the work of Dr. Bennet Omalu and his discovery of CTE during the autopsy of famed Steelers Center Mike Webster, which is now portrayed in the major motion picture “Concussion”.

Cain is a proud honors graduate of West Virginia University’s Reed College of Media, where she was the main anchor of WVU NEWS, received the “Most Promising Journalist Award” and placed twice in the national William Randolph Hearst Journalism Competition.
