We sat down with Jennifer Radke, CEO of the National Institute for Social Media and asked her about why the work we support is important to her!

Tell us a little bit about the National Institute for Social Media.

In addition to social media training and staff development, NISM offers a social media strategy certification that helps marketing professionals stand out. And, because we help social media professionals demonstrate their knowledge and skills through a certification exam, we are able to help people who need social media support confidently hire a skilled professional – all they have to do is ask if they are SMS certified! Our goal is to make the hiring, consulting, and education process easier for everyone and take some of the anxiety out of hiring a social media professional. So many don’t feel confident in the social media space, choosing the right person to add to your team can be stressful.

How did you first connect with CHA?

We were invited to participate in the 2019 Table Talk! Our Chief Learning Officer, Amy Jauman, was a conversationalist. We met so many great people and heard about the amazing work CHA is doing. We were hooked!

Why did you choose to support the 2019 CHA gala?

NISM believes in not only helping individuals accomplish their professional goals, but in doing what we can to support our community. When we saw how CHA was bringing Minnesota leaders, business, and individuals together to raise money that directly supported children and families who need it, we knew it was a cause we wanted to support.

What are you most looking forward to for this year’s gala?

Since we’re newer to the CHA community, we’re really excited to learn more about the work being done and the families CHA serves. We’re looking forward to meeting other business leaders in our community as well – we hope to meet a lot of local professionals.
