Get to know 2019 CHA Gala Sponsor Spaces, a Pioneer Press/ company!

We’re excited to share what Martha Severson, Publisher of Spaces Magazine, has to say about the upcoming 2019 Storyland Gala!

Tell us a little bit about your organization!

Spaces magazine is a home-focused magazine that started 19 years ago showcasing trends in architecture and remodeling, green living, interior design, and outdoor living. Each magazine highlights talented, award-winning writers and photographers who are leaders in the field. There are a total of 6 magazines and 2 resource guides each year. Our circulation reaches 60,000 per each issue throughout the Twin Cities.

How did you first connect with CHA?

My parent company, the St. Paul Pioneer Press/ started with the first Table Talk. We have had many of our reporters and me as conversationalists at the Table Talk and have been a part of Table Talk and the Gala ever since.

Why did you choose to support the 2019 CHA gala?

Spaces Magazine, along with the Pioneer Press/, believes in the community we serve and in giving back. We have the audience, reach and opportunity to support the CHA mission throughout our media outlets. In addition, I joined the CHA board 4 years ago.

What are you most looking forward to for this year’s gala?

Helping build awareness of all the great things CHA and Children’s Hospital is doing in our community. They are both a treasured resource and we are proud to be a supporter.

What are some of your favorite memories of past CHA events?

The kids, I always look forward to learning more about the kids and their stays and recoveries at the hospital. It’s amazing what these doctors and nurses do day-in and day-out. Being a sponsor is our way of saying thank you.
