Taking Care of the
Twin Cities Community.
For 85 years, Children’s Hospital Association has proven to be a forward-thinking group of volunteers whose dedication to raising funds to provide critical support for programs and services at Children’s Minnesota. This support has helped to improve the health and well-being of countless children both at Children’s and throughout the community, making an impact, one child at a time.
There are thousands of children right here in our community who are sick or injured and may be having an unexpected hospital stay. Some of those families will not be able to afford the care that their children need. This is why we exist.
Our roots go back to the great depression when Children’s Hospital was only a few years old, When we started the Free Bed Fund, our goal was simple. To enable care for families who couldn’t afford it. Our mission today remains the same and is simply: To help as many sick or injured children in our community as possible.
Charter Members raised enough funds to pay the bills of 70 patients at the Children’s Hospital. Only $1,632.00 back then.
We believe that a child’s stay at the Children’s Hospital should be as painless as possible.
