Another spring has come and gone, and with it, another successful Table Talk.

Guests arrived in a downpour to the Mendakota Country Club, our host for the third year in a row. However, the rain didn’t dampen the liveliness happening inside. Everything from the silent auction to the conversations, networking and the food — Sweet Martha provided buckets of cookies for dessert again this year — made for a cheerful escape from the storm, all while raising crucial funds for programs and services at Children’s Minnesota.

We had a great variety in conversationalists this year, including our Emcee Jackie Cain, KSTP’s news anchor, firefighter and paramedic Captain Kate Heckaman and Olympic middle distance runner Carrie Tollefson. A few well-known faces like Maureen Bausch, Echo Bodine, Leslee Miller and Deb Pierce returned for another year. Guests also got to experience the Music Therapy Program at Children’s Minnesota with music therapists Kayla Shafer and Kim Donley. They shared personal stories of the effects they have seen in children they get to work with. Singing and playing guitar, they serenaded guests while showing a video of the impact their music made on a Children’s Minnesota patient, Julia.

It is because of people like you, and our wonderful Table Talk guests, that these programs are so successful. Because of your generosity and continuous support year after year, CHA Pledge Programs like Music Therapy, the Midwest Children’s Resource Center and the Child’s Cancer Survivor Program, continue to provide care to the children in our community with the vital funds they need.

We also want to thank Hubbard Broadcasting, our Presenting Sponsor, for their continued support and work to highlight our efforts. Another thank you to our Champion, Leadership and Table Sponsors for continued willingness to help those in need. We are incredibly excited for next year’s Table Talk already and cannot wait to see you all there!
