  • About the Lunch Bunch Guild

The Lunch Bunch Guild was founded in 2003 by individuals serving on the Children’s Hospital Association Board. They organized a group of dynamic, service-oriented women who embraced the mission of CHA. The Guild quickly established their signature event, a garden luncheon. This event has been held in outstanding locations, from an elegant home on Summit Avenue, to a charming home on White Bear Lake, to a flower farm in Stillwater. The group also has had great success in recent years with events at breweries, the latest at Surly. This year another special fundraiser, “Trees and Treats” will be repeated at a festive home in Dellwood. The home features dozens of amazing Christmas trees and the treats are spectacular as well. The Guild’s events are always special and, with thanks to our supporters, are always successful fundraisers. Each December the Guild also has a social event for its members. For a number of years, the Guild assisted with the Great Clips Charity Golf Classic. Guild membership is throughout the metro so wherever you live, you are welcome to join!

  • About the Mahtomedi Guild

Founded in 1982, Mahtomedi Guild of has drawn members from the northeastern suburbs including Mahtomedi, Birchwood, City of Grant, North Oaks, Stillwater and White Bear Lake. Our first president was Cinny Sobieski.

Mahtomedi Guild Mission: We believe having a “party” is a good way to raise money.

  • Mahtomedi Fundraising Events

Members and significant others enjoy gathering for summer solstice and look forward to a social gathering before the holidays each year. During the early years, the Mahtomedi Guild’s primary focus was the annual CHA Bazaar. Members have since organized bike benefits, holiday silent auctions, bunco events, Lobster-by-the-Lake Galas, style show/silent auctions, and community outreach at the Mahtomedi Guild booth on a summer Saturday during Mahtomedi Farmers’ Market.

The Mahtomedi Guild thanks friends of the guild & local organizations for their support and contributions.

  • About the Night Owl Guild

Forty-six years ago a group of women from the northern suburbs — all who enjoyed crafting and an evening away from home — gathered to form the Night Owls Guild of Children’s Hospital Association. Known for their unique and beautifully crafted items, their crafts were widely sought after at the CHA Bazaars for many years.

Throughout the years they have raised funds for CHA through the sales of poinsettias, cookbooks and spring plants. Their talents were called upon to set up silent auctions for “Author! Author!”, the American Craft Council and the CHA Galas. For many years the Night Owls also helped with the Great Clips Golf event. Their Fall Soup Supper called “Soups on for Kids”, remains their popular current fundraiser, and they are always available to lend a helping hand to other guilds and CHA projects when called upon. The Night Owls have made lasting friendships among one another and continue to be a vital part of CHA.

  • About North Oaks Guild I

North Oaks Guild 1 and Children’s Minnesota share a history of commitment and tradition that goes back more than 50 years and is still holding strong today.

The concept of developing neighborhood groups to supplement the Children’s Hospital Association was developed in 1962. A group of women devoted to quality healthcare for all children, regardless of their ability to pay, established the first CHA Guild in North Oaks. After several years, the number of women active in the guild increased to such a large number that it became difficult to meet in the member’s homes. It was then decided that in order to maintain the integrity of the guild, a second guild would be formed

The original guild, North Oaks Guild 1, continues the long‑standing tradition of hosting the Holiday Home Tour and Boutique each November. Throughout the years, the event has provided much enjoyment for guild members. Along with the commitment and camaraderie, there is a real sense of contribution to children. The event earns between $35,000 and $60,000 each year, and since its inception in 1962, the North Oaks Guild 1 has contributed over $1 million to support programs at Children’s Minnesota. Membership is open to anyone committed to quality healthcare for children. Planning for the annual event is a year-round process. Meetings are held on a monthly basis.

  • About North Oaks Guild II

Formed in 1967, North Oaks Guild II has been fundraising for CHA for more than 50 years! The annual North Oaks Guild II Rummage Sale began in 1998, and while there were other fundraisers conducted during the Guild’s early years, the rummage sale has provided an excellent source of financial support in addition to serving the North Oaks community in reusing and repurposing unwanted items and supporting local charities.

This groups enjoys telling the story of a “perfect circle” — people clean their homes and businesses of unwanted items which they donate to the annual North Oaks Guild II Rummage Sale; the guild cleans and “spiffs” things up to be sold to folks who want these items; proceeds from the sale are donated to Children’s Hospital Association to support programs and services at Children’s Minnesota; items that are left after the sale are donated to local charities for distribution to individuals with great needs – a “perfect circle.” North Oaks Guild II has made cumulative donations over $3 million to Children’s Hospital Association over its 50 years.
